Welcome to the Computyping Web Site.

Computyping SG is a subject that has been phased in from Grade 10 - Grade 12 over the past number of years. The first group of candidates sat for the Senior Certificate examination in October 2001. More than 100 schools are presently offering Computyping at schools across the Western Cape.

Learners will be able to demonstrate managerial expertise and administrative proficiency. The subject also empowers learners with word processing skills.

We would like to keep all computyping educators informed about developments in the subject. We hope to keep communication lines open to facilitate the sharing of ideas and information. Schools who wish to offer the subject should follow the correct procedures which are required for the extension of a school's curriculum as stipulated in Circular 058/2000.
